Hi all,
There is another poly group/site on Facebook called Open Relationships Australia, started by Eshua and Lota (from the Insight program).
I have shortened the link below otherwise it is quite long, however if you type "Open Relationships Australia" into a Facebook search you should find it easily enough.
Last night I attended a discussion gathering they held in Brisbane which was very interesting, there were people from a variety of walks of life, and different places on the poly/mono spectrum.
They are also talking of holding workshops for people to learn/share more about various issues such as honest communication, dealing with jealousy etc.
I am rather excited of the prospects of all this poly community happening in Brisbane at the moment - different groups, different perspectives, hopefully will mean there will be something for everyone.

A couple of Questions posed recently in our Q and A prompted me to delve a little deeper on the subject of rights of partners in a Poly relationship and whether such a relationship could be covered by the so called "Mistress Laws" now in act in Australia. I found the following article which seems to explain the law clearly and as I am not a Solicitor - I will leave it up to individual reader to interpret the act :-
The Commonwealth Family Law Act 1975 now applies to both married and de facto couples as well as same-sex couples. Previously, de-facto relationships were covered by State Laws and disputes between de-facto couples were determined by State Courts such as the Supreme Court and County Court- Such disputes are now within the jurisdiction of the Family Court of Australia and the Federal Magistrates Court, as are disputes concerning children of all relationships.
Just to confuse everyone further... The reason we moved to wiggio.com was because the meetup.com group cost money each month to maintain the site. We decided at the gathering however that one of the members is happy to keep paying the monthly fee and those present at the actual meet up each month can contribute a gold coin donation to him towards running costs if they wish. The Meetup website is more user-friendly than Wiggio. I will still be maintaining the Wiggio group as a backup site until such time as it does not seem necessary, but it is one and the same group as the Brisbane Polyamorists Meetup group on meetup.com.

A few people have been reporting issues with wiggio.com's (lack of) user-friendliness. At the meet up last week, the group decided that our
