Comments Could be any number of reasons

Hi All,

Just got back from 4+ years in New Zealand.  (My advice, don't go there.)

Could be any number of reasons why so few on line at any given time.  The lifestyle is very demanding (and rewarding), so more time face to face in these relationships, and less time at a keyboard and screen.  The numbers could be relatively low overall.  People could be motivated to use these sorts of sites more as a resource or reference, than as a social event per se.

I think the most likely reason is this:  Using the 'net means someone next door to you is just as "close" as someone on a ship in the North Atlantic (the farthest you can be from AU and still be on the planet).  As long as you're all poly and speaking English, it doesn't matter.  So naturally people will gravitate to the biggest and most active poly websites, where there are most likely to be others on line at the same time... www.lovemore.com or a Facebook or Yahoo poly group for example.

This website strikes me as the best made I have seen on the lifestyle, with lots of fantastic resources.  But the big Oz capital cities have their own groups with their own websites and "face to face loyaly", so our best target market for ACTIVE members are probably Aussie rural people and folks in Aussie cities that don't have a local poly group.

But it's just a theory.
